Aim
To equip participants with the knowledge necessary to carry out work at heights in a safe manner.

Objectives
At the end of this course, participants will be able to: Understand the importance of safety while working at a height, Explain the legislation behind work at heights, Identify the 3 stages of a working at height risk assessment, Identify the correct equipment to use for the job, and Understand their responsibilities as an employee.

Course Content
This course provides essential safety training for anyone involved in or affected by Working at Height. This training is required to enable an individual to effectively comply with his duties under the Work at Height Regulations.
These Regulations require anyone who works at height to be competent. This course covers the following:
  • Equipment recognition.
  • Harness training.
  • Positioning and fall arrest techniques.
  • Risk assessment.
  • Emergency procedures .
  • Rescue from Height.
  • Suspension trauma.
  • Legislation.
  • Equipment care.
  • Anchor point selection.
  • Other working at height activities
