Why Charkin Maritime Academy ?

Choosing a higher institution of learning is always a big deal and can sometimes be overwhelming. There are many factors and variables
that need to be considered when making the decision. Top amongst these factors are the quality of service rendered by the institution
to her customers and her uniqueness as an institution of higher learning in whatever category she finds herself.
Charkin Maritime Academy (CMA), Port Harcourt, was established to bring World - Class Maritime Education and Training to your doorstep.

Here are a few of many reasons why You should choose CMA:

 CMA is situated in an easily accessible location by air and road from any part of Nigeria.
       CMA is a private and regimented maritime institution and unlike the public Polytechnics, there are no strikes by staff; No extortion of students by Lecturers;
No cultism, sex for marks or money for marks or other vices common in conventional higher institutions.
 CMA is one of the few Maritime Education and Training Institutions in Nigeria where Nautical Science and Marine Engineering
has been accredited by the National Board for Technical Education and the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA).
 CMA has an array of training simulators that no other higher institution in Nigeria can boast off, located in the main campus
for the practical training of the students.
 The Academy Campus is located in a serene environment secured by perimeter fence, strategically - mounted surveillance cameras, a detachment
of the Nigerian Police force on watch 24/7 and a very active security network.

Most Importantly

 It is the wish of every Merchant - Navy Cadet (student) to graduate from the school as at when due and go onboard ship
for the mandatory Phase II sea service. CMA is known to support this, as she has made arrangements
with a foreign shipping company to put Cadets onboard at no cost, after training in the Academy,
thus ensuring a seamless and uninterrupted Merchant - Navy programme.
 Furthermore, students who choose to study in CMA stand a very good chance of being selected by a shipping
company or other allied companies for sponsorship and subsequent employment.
