Target: The STCW Code applies globally, and its main purpose is to establish competency and training standards to ensure the safety of life at sea, protect the marine environment, and enhance professional qualifications in the shipping industry.

Target: This course will enable persons in support operations with DP vessels and Dynamic Positioning Operators, to gain insight of DP functions, capabilities and fundamental elements required for Full DP system operation and Station-keeping. mostly Shore Base Support Staff.
Training: The course will be conducted for 4 Days with a total duration of 28 hours.

Dynamic Positioning Induction Course
The Dynamic Positioning Basic Induction course
Duration: 5 days
Target: The scope of this course is to provide prospective DP Operators with introductory training on the theory and practice of Dynamic Positioning that fulfils the requirements of Phase A of the Nautical Institute Scheme which follows the recommendations contained in the IMO codes and the IMCA guidelines.
Training: The course will be conducted over 5 Days (Monday – Friday) with a total duration of 32 hours. The total duration includes a teaching time of 29 hours. The remaining duration will be utilized for the On-Line Examination instituted by the Nautical Institute and Administrative formalities.

Dynamic Positioning Simulator Course
The Dynamic Positioning Simulator course
Duration: 5 days
Target: The main purpose of this course is to enhance the ability and confidence of Prospective DPO’s in Operational Planning, Vessel Handling, Equipment Management, Communications, Teamwork and Recording of events to conduct safe DP operations.
Training: The course will be conducted over 5 Days (Monday – Friday) with a total duration of 32 hours. The total duration includes a teaching time of 29 hours. The assessment and evaluation procedures shall be as per the Nautical Institute guidelines. The assessment for the DP Simulator course includes a theoretical (online) and a practical assessment. Each component must be completed successfully there is no specific order in which they must be completed.

Target: The course is intended for those who have already been issued a DPO certificate from the Nautical Institute but are unable to revalidate their certificate due to insufficient DP sea time. The overall course aim is to update the DPOs with the latest rules and regulations, position references and sensors, known DP incidents and lessons learned

Target: This course is designed for Masters in charge of vessels and Chief Mates/1st Mates about to be given charge of a vessel to sharpen their proficiency in own ship handling at different loaded and ballast conditions, environmental conditions and in relation to own vessel conditions, design and response characteristics in different external conditions. Masters responsibilities during port approaches, arrival and departures. Masters responsibilities in restricted waters, separation schemes and close quarters situations in port and within facility exclusion zones.

Duration: 5 days
Target: Course objective is to introduce candidates to the basic knowledge of mooring operations in the Oil & Gas offshore environment. Introduction to different types of Mooring – mooring to SPM, Tandem mooring to spread fix moor and weather vanning Turret moor to FSO/FPSO. The responsibilities, trust and expectations by Tanker Masters of different nationalities and the Terminal operators. Interactions with other Government agencies who board the Tankers for the purpose of clearing her in to berth. This is a precursor to the Advanced Mooring Master and Loading Master course.
At the end of this course, candidates are expected to be knowledgeable enough in theory and practical to assist Mooring Masters in mooring operations.
